Couture Tambour Beading: Last Bloom of Summer, Robert W. Haven

Couture Tambour Beading: Last Bloom of Summer (20) All Levels
Tambour beading is a rare art form known by few and taught by even fewer. This French embroidery technique and method of choice for Haute Couture Ateliers in Paris, dates back to the 16th century. It is worked with a tambour hook and when mastered is much faster than beading with a needle. This class will introduce the basic techniques of chain stitch, applying seed beads and sequins in rows and radiating lines, creating surface stitching with the tambour hook. Your project, a small floral design, can be finished as a broach or fashion embellishment. Bring: Black & white machine sewing thread & snips. Kit $50 includes tambour beading frame, hook with 3 needles and all supplies for stitching & finishing. For more class details visit http://roberthaven.macmate.me/Creativ_Festival_Class/Welcome.html
