Meet Canadian Beading Stitching Expert: Pamela Kearns

Meet Pamela Kearns

Pamela Kearns at Creativ Festival

Versatile in bead stitching. Pamela Kearns will show you new ideas

Pamela Kearns began her beading career almost 10 years ago when she first picked up a needle, thread, and some Delica beads to learn the peyote stitch. Soon she was creating her own patterns and sharing her ideas with others. Now versed in most bead stitching techniques, Pam has expanded her skill set to include felting, chainmaille and silver clay.

An instructor for several years, Pam loves seeing the ‘A-ha’ moment in her students when they discover they too can create beautiful jewellery. Pam enjoys meeting other jewellery makers in a wide variety of mediums and exchanging ideas.

Pam has been published in as a runner-up in a themed contest, has been included in calendars by the Toronto Bead Society and has had a project published in the June/July 2013 issue of Beadwork magazine. Pam’s teaching experience has greatly expanded after being selected as a teacher at the 2014 Bead and Button show held earlier this year in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pam is the class coordinator for BeadFX, in Toronto.

Have fun making jewellery with Pamela – details revealed tomorrow…
