In 1986 she began a home based business, Country Garden, offering smocking and embroidery supplies, lessons, custom orders and gifts. She is a founding member and the “Smocking Mentor” of the Grand Smockers Guild in Cayuga. She is also the Dean and founder of Dorcas Camp, a five day retreat for Daughters, Mothers & Mentors offering a wide variety of craft, sewing and stitching classes for girls and women of ALL ages and skill levels.
