Cynthia MacDougall is the founder of the Canadian Guild of Knitters and has been knitting for over 30 years. Her primary knitting interest is lace, but she enjoys all forms of knitting. Cynthia has written articles for the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners, Canadian Fibre Arts Publications, was the editor of the Huronia Spinners’ Guild newsletter and now writes Knit Together for A Needle Pulling Thread.

Learn the difference between ribbing and knit-purl designs, and how different stitch designs produce different results. Bring: Double knitting (22-24 sts to 4″/ 10cm) or worsted weight yarn (18-20 sts to 4″/10cm), a pair of knitting needles (circulars if you prefer) & a stitch dictionary, if you have one.

This fun, short workshop that includes a short slide show is designed to inspire and is suitable for people who craft in all media. Bring: Selection of beads, fibres, fabric swatches &/or small scraps to practice combining colours.
