We’re really thrilled to be featuring Stephanie Kleinman, creator of the long running HGTV series Simply Quilts, now sharing her new Fabric Studio™ software. Did you know you can create your own fabric designs using affordable software and then either print these on an InkJet fabric sheet with your InkJet printer right at home or send away for the yardage you want? The InkJet Printable Sheets come in several different fabrics including cotton, canvas, linen and even silks. There are several different companies that manufacture these products or you might want to try a product called Bubble Jet 2000 which allows you to treat your own fabrics and make them ink permanent. Over the last couple of years several companies have popped up on the internet doing digital printing. If you want yardage you can send that seamless image you have created within the software and they will print you customized fabric and mail it back to you. Most of the online services use a soluble pigment ink, which require heat setting after the inks are applied to the fabrics. Each company differs a little with their own unique fabric selections and most of them usually start at $16.95 a yard.
