Exhibitor Secrets: Classic Wubbers™ Gardiner Designs

Marilyn Gardiner Designs at Creativ Festival

Gardiner Designs, Booth #548 is back at Creativ Festival this fall with new inspiration and products.

Marilyn would like to share with you what they have planned at their booth this fall.

We’ve just started to carry Classic Wubbers™ pliers for making jewellery with chainmaille. These are carefully engineered tools in a mid-price range that do a superb job. We’ll have three variations at our booth for customers to try out. See photo attached.

New designs: The Turtleback Bracelet design will be introduced at the Creativ Festival. It is an exciting design that combines a Byzantine weave with Swarovski crystals. First you make the chain and attach the special clasp—and then you attach flexible beading wire at one end with a crimp. Now the fun peaks as you weave the wire in and out of the chain, adding seed beads and Swarovski bicone crystals as you go. Here’s a photo of the bracelet made with Jeweller’s Bronze rings and jet crystals. See photo attached.

Advice: If you are making a special bracelet or necklace that uses beading wire, be sure to use the best quality you can afford. How do you tell quality? Look at the number of strands of stainless steel that have been braided together: the more, the better. You will find beading wire ranges from 7 strands up to 49 strands. Why get more strands? Wire with more strands is much more flexible, drapes beautifully, and is more resistant to getting kinks that can’t be straightened out.

Booth Activities: We will be presenting make & take chain mail earrings on the hour throughout the show. There will be 6 fabulous designs to choose from, all made with silver filled jump rings and all suitable for beginners. Here’s a photo of the Two-In-Two Earrings with a Swarovski golden shadow polygon drop.
