William Hodge graduated from Ontario College of Art (OCAD) where he was also an instructor/professor from 1967 to 2009. Fabric Collage (25) All Levels
Experience this versatile technique that is used for all types of creative production from banners and wall hangings to garments. Following design and colour studies, William guides you through the process of creating original design squares with the fabric collage technique. A variety of embellishment methods, including embroidery and beading will be discussed and demonstrated. Pre-requisite: Basic sewing machine knowledge. Kit $15

Bead Embroidery for Special Occasions (25) All Levels
With the addition of a bit of sparkle or discreet bead embroidery, you can elevate a garment from the ordinary to couture evening wear. Raise the bar… learn to design and create that special look that adds flare to your wardrobe. Work with fine fabrics and lace and learn to embellish with a variety of beads including seed, bugle, tear drop, pearls, sequins, sew on jewels and buttons. Bead embroidery for casual as well as more structured work, including fringes and edgings will be introduced and sampled. Stitches taught will include backstitch, single needle couching, scatter stitch and lane stitch. Discussion of suitable equipment will also be covered. Bring: 12″ embroidery hoop. Kit $15
