Margaret Wilson collects vintage handmade quilts and loves to make quilts, whether traditional or modern, by hand or machine. Her work has appeared in McCall’s Quilting magazine and she has won one first and two second place awards at the Markham Fair in 2012.

Learn How to Hand Quilt with Margaret Wilson at Creativ Festival.

Learn how to finish a quilt with decorative hand-quilting using the traditional ‘rocking needle’ method. We’ll cover the basic types of hand-quilting such as straight-line, echo and feathers. Find out about fabric, thread and needle selection, design transfer, layering the fabrics and how to take care of a hand-quilted quilt. Pre-requisite: Basic knowledge of quilt construction. Bring: Thimble & small pointed scissors. Hoops on loan in class. Kit $20.
